Role Summary:
The Revenue Manager is responsible for the strategic management of room inventory and pricing to maximize revenue and overall profitability. This role involves analyzing market trends, monitoring competitor activity, and leveraging data-driven insights to set optimal pricing strategies, manage distribution channels, and accurately forecast demand. The Revenue Manager works closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align revenue strategies with broader business goals, ensuring both financial performance and an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Pricing Strategies
Analyze market demand, competitor pricing, and historical performance to adjust room rates and optimize revenue across all segments.
- Forecasting and Budget Planning
Prepare accurate forecasts for occupancy, revenue, and demand trends to support informed budgeting and pricing decisions.
- Inventory and Distribution Management
Control room availability across all distribution channels, implement overbooking strategies when appropriate, and ensure optimal inventory allocation.
- Market and Competitor Analysis
Monitor local market conditions, tourism trends, and competitor activities to identify risks and revenue opportunities.
- Revenue Performance Tracking and Reporting
Analyze key performance indicators such as RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy rates, generating actionable insights and reports for senior management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to align revenue strategies with promotional campaigns, special offers, and seasonal demand.
- Utilize Revenue Management Systems and Tools
Implement and maintain revenue management software to automate pricing, track performance metrics, and support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of hotel experience, including at least 1 year in a revenue management or related analytical role.
- Strong understanding of pricing strategies, forecasting, and hotel distribution channels (OTAs, GDS, direct booking platforms).
- Proficiency in revenue management systems (RMS), property management systems (PMS), and Excel or other data analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, especially when working with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams.
