The Supply Chain Controller will report to the Country Controls Lead and effectively drive the Control agenda for the entire plant finance by providing timely, accurate and effective information including SKU-wise profitability analysis, key plant performance KPI’s, and various analyses focused on cost rationalizations to the the Operations Leadership team. This role will be based in our Manufacturing Facility in Cikarang.
Responsibilities:We will count on you to:
- Manage the reporting and analysis process of plant finances to ensure the quality, timeliness, and integrity of the financial statements
- Ensure all plant inventory and costing statements, balance sheet, and cash flow adjustments and validations are reviewed before submitting results to Sector
- Act as a custodian of company policies and procedures, performing the role of financial steward by maintaining a strong control environment, effectively leading a team to ensure higher engagement levels and providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice to key stakeholders (Agro, Production and Supply Chain)
- Ensure error-free and timely reporting to Head Office including detailed Balance Sheet Reviews for plant financials
- Enhance proportionate ownership for all key processes at the plant and also ensuring sustained execution of key controls. Supporting BU Controller and Internal Control Manager in effective Risk Assessment workshops and robust key control testing and remediation of failures
- Primary liaison for communication and updates or resolution of key accounting, reporting and control issues between MU and Operations team (SC, Agro, Quality and GP)
- Coordinate with the Supply chain to prepare recons costing variances and ensure balances reflected are correct (COGS, MOH, and product costing)
- Support the SAP CO implementation (product costing, inventory management, and Agro management)
- Act as center of expertise (COE) in providing effective accounting guidance on business issues and initiatives, on all governance, financial accounting and operation controls-related matters
- Manage ongoing relationships with external service providers (IBM, auditors, tax/legal advisors, bankers).
- Oversee local open tax cases collaborating with Business Controllers and Sector Tax Team and/or consultants
- Drives best practices on processes that impact financial reporting across the business and shared services teams. This will include process improvement and re-design, challenging of the status quo and building a close working relationship with the key leaders in the business and the SSC BPO.
- Primary liaison for communication and updates or resolution of key accounting, reporting and control issues between MU and BU/IBM/Sector
- Develop and lead the implementation of financial policies/guidelines
- Lead assessment of impact to MU of any changes in accounting treatment (e.g., Inventory in transit, inventory provision, COGS recognition, Agro accounting, Manufacturing overhead)
What you need to have:
- 7-10 years of experience in accounting, costing, and controller roles in MNCs and FMCG with strong knowledge in plant finance required
- SAP & HFM experience is required, with accounting qualifications an advantage
- Solid analytical and functional skills with an ability to connect the dots and see the big picture without losing sight of details
- Strong commercial, operational and financial awareness, monitoring and coordination and budget ownership
- Deep understanding of internal control with a business process efficiency mindset
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven record of internal/external stakeholder management
- Demonstrated people management skills
- Good understanding of US GAAP, IFRS and Local standards
- Ability to build cross-functional, cross-divisional partnerships and hands-on application of situational leadership model
- Ability to create an environment which inspires trust and innovative ideas
