Job Description: Supply Chain System Project Manager (On-Site, Supply Chain Planning System) Position Overview
The Supply Chain Project Manager will lead the end-to-end implementation of a supply chain planning system, managing all project activities on-site to ensure successful delivery. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and supply chain knowledge to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver the project on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including scope, timelines, budget, resources, and risk management strategies for the supply chain planning system implementation.
- On-Site Leadership: Oversee daily project activities on-site, ensuring alignment with project goals and facilitating real-time decision-making and issue resolution.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with customer supply chain team, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure the system meets operational needs.
- Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams, including IT developers, supply chain analysts, principal, and consultants, to ensure seamless integration and execution of project tasks.
- System Implementation: Oversee the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of the supply chain planning system, ensuring alignment with business processes such as demand forecasting, inventory management, and production planning.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Change Management: Drive user adoption by managing training, communication, and change management initiatives to ensure smooth transition to the new system.
- Principal Management: Work with Principal engagement manager & their system integration teams to ensure deliverables meet quality, timeline, and contractual requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Track project progress using KPIs, report status to senior leadership, and ensure adherence to project governance standards.
- Post-Implementation Support: Coordinate post-go-live support, including troubleshooting, system optimization, and user feedback integration.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is preferred.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of project management experience in IT system implementations, with at least 2 years focused on supply chain planning systems (e.g., SAP SCM, Oracle SCM, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder or similar).
- Proven track record of managing complex, on-site projects with cross-functional teams.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with supply chain planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder).
- Understanding of database management, system integration, and IT infrastructure.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of FMCG, CPG industry and their supply chain processes, including S&OP, demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and logistics.
- Location Requirement: Must be able to work on-site full-time to oversee project execution and collaborate with local teams.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, 50% on-site (maybe outside Jakarta).
- Will require occasional travel to project locations.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate project deadlines and stakeholder schedules.
