Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, systems, and procedures in compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local regulations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Supervise general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting.
- Manage tax planning, compliance, and filing requirements.
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Ensure strong internal controls and risk management practices are in place.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decisions.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, integrity, and efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, taxation, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
