About the Role
To lead and manage operational data activities, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and accessible data to support process efficiency, performance monitoring, and operational decision-making.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of data analysts, specialists, or data stewards within the operations function.
- Set clear goals, monitor performance, and support team development through regular feedback and training opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on problem-solving, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Prioritize team tasks and ensure timely delivery of data initiatives, reports, and issue resolutions.
Operational Data Strategy:
- Define and implement data standards and processes for capturing, storing, and using data within the Operations function.
- Ensure alignment between data initiatives and operational KPIs, reporting needs, and process improvements.
- Collaborate process owners to ensure clean, structured, and trusted data for operational reporting.
- Support automation and standardization of recurring reports and performance dashboards.
- Monitor and improve data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across operational systems and reports.
- Work with process owners to identify data issues and implement root-cause solutions.
- Manage or support the use of data tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL-based queries) to extract and prepare operational datasets.
- Lead efforts to improve data accessibility and usability for operations staff.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with IT, business users, and analytics teams to enhance data flow, integration, and usage across operational systems.
- Act as a point of contact for data-related needs within the Operations department.
