Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled Mandarin Translator to support effective communication between our local and Chinese teams. The role involves translating documents and interpreting during meetings, negotiations, and daily operations. The ideal candidate must have strong Mandarin proficiency (minimum HSK Level 4), excellent communication skills in English (Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage), and the ability to handle sensitive information with accuracy and confidentiality. This position requires attention to detail, professionalism, and flexibility to work in both office and project environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate documents, contracts, reports, emails, and company materials from Mandarin to English/Indonesian and vice versa with high accuracy.
- Provide interpretation (simultaneous and consecutive) during internal meetings, negotiations, and discussions with clients, vendors, and partners.
- Assist Chinese expatriates in daily operational and communication needs.
- Ensure the correct use of technical, legal, and business terminology to avoid misinterpretation.
- Support the preparation of bilingual reports, presentations, and meeting minutes.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive company information with professionalism.
- Act as a communication bridge to facilitate effective cross-cultural collaboration between local and Chinese teams.
- Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Diploma (D3) in any major.
- Strong command of Mandarin (oral and written) with HSK Level 4 or above (mandatory).
- Good communication skills in English (fluency in three languages: Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Indonesia will be a plus).
- At least 1–2 years of experience as a translator/interpreter (fresh graduates with excellent Mandarin skills are welcome).
- Skilled in both simultaneous and consecutive interpreting.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
- High integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Willing to be placed at head office or project sites as required.
