Position Overview:
We are seeking for an Assistant Manager position for Legal & Business Affairs in our team in Jakarta. This is a 1-year contract role and will provide critical support to the broader legal team in ensuring corporate compliance with local legislation and governing all legal documents, is integral to UMG Indonesia’s continued expansion and success within the SEAK region. Reporting to the Legal Manager in Indonesia, your role will be key to our growth.
You Will:
- Draft, review and modify contracts and contractual instruments to assist and support various business activities.
- Handle legal documents and assist in securing corporate & business licenses.
- Provide current and relevant legal policies, practices and information to advise business functions on statutory compliance.
- Identify and promptly act on emerging legal affairs and changes.
- Manage rights protection litigation, working with external Lawyers on cases as needed or directed.
You Should Have:
- A bachelor’s degree in law from a reputable university.
- Entry-level to 2 years of experience working in a Law Firm and/or multinational companies will be an advantage.
- English proficiency (written and verbal)
- Prior experience in legal writing (drafting of contracts and other legal documents).
- Sound knowledge of intellectual property (IP) law.
- Meticulous attention to detail along with solid time & time management and administration skills.
- Ability to do in-depth data analysis.
- Highly adaptable in a fast-paced environment and changes to processes.
- Self-resourceful, proactiveness with a positive attitude and aptitude to learn quickly.
