We are looking for an experienced Event Streaming Engineer (Kafka) to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing real-time event streaming solutions that enable seamless data integration across enterprise systems. You will work closely with software engineering, data, and infrastructure teams to build scalable and reliable event-driven architectures.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain real-time data streaming pipelines using Apache Kafka or other event streaming platforms.
- Implement and manage event-driven architectures to support business-critical applications.
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of streaming systems.
- Collaborate with development, data engineering, and DevOps teams to integrate Kafka into enterprise systems and applications.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kafka clusters and related components.
- Develop best practices, documentation, and automation scripts for Kafka operations.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in stream processing and event-driven systems.
Minimum Qualifications: Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Kafka Engineer / Event Streaming Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (design, implementation, monitoring, and optimization).
- Solid understanding of event-driven architecture (EDA), distributed systems, and real-time data processing.
- Familiarity with Kafka ecosystem components (Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, Kafka Streams, kSQL).
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or Scala).
- Experience with DevOps tools (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
- Preferably certified in Kafka, Event Streaming Platforms, or Event-Driven Architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
