We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Senior Video Editor with a strong understanding of social media trends and best practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking raw video footage and transforming it into polished, engaging videos optimized for various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.). This includes colour grading, video sequencing, audio mixing, and exporting in various formats.
What You Will Do:
- Edit high-quality video content for digital, social, and broadcast platforms.
- Craft compelling narratives from raw footage, storyboards, and scripts.
- Implement advanced post-production techniques: colour grading, sound mixing, motion graphics, and visual effects.
- Ensure all content is polished, engaging, and aligned with the brand’s tone and style.
- Lead the editorial process from offline to final delivery.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, creatives, and motion designers to bring concepts to life.
- Provide strategic input on storytelling, structure, and visual treatment.
- Review and provide quality control feedback on all video content.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery under tight deadlines.
- Maintain well-organised project files, media libraries, and asset management systems.
- Stay updated with the latest editing tools, trends, and techniques.
- Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure.
- Follow industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Able to communicate in English at actively is required.
- 5+ years of professional video editing experience in a creative or agency setting.
- Proven portfolio of high-quality content across various formats and platforms.
- Experience in editing for different audiences and media (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, TVCs, etc.)
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder.
- Strong knowledge of colour grading (DaVinci Resolve or Lumetri), sound design, and compression formats.
- Familiarity with audio editing software (Audition, Pro Tools) is a plus.
- Motion graphics and animation experience is advantageous
- Ability to take ownership over your work.
- Willing to work according to Australian time or 6 AM – 3 PM Jakarta Time (9 hours include 1-hour break).
