Job Summary
PT. Sinotrans Overseas Indonesia is seeking a highly motivated Transport Staff to join our Freight Forwarding Department in Jakarta. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods, both for import and export.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with various transport vendors (trucking, air, and ocean carriers) to plan and execute shipments.
- Actively source new vendors and negotiate prices to secure the most competitive rates and high-quality service.
- Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documents, including Bill of Lading, Air Waybills, and customs-related paperwork.
- Track and monitor shipment status from origin to destination and provide timely updates to clients.
- Handle vendor billing and ensure timely customer invoicing.
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the transportation process.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Proven ability to source vendors and negotiate effectively.
- Strong understanding of shipping documentation and customs procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Must possess a valid Driving License (SIM A or SIM C).
- Willing to be hired under an outsourcing arrangement.
