Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with Indonesian GAAP and company policies. This position will manage accounting processes both at the head office and across multiple mining sites in Indonesia, coordinating with site-based finance teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity in all financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely submission of financial reports in compliance with PSAK (Indonesian GAAP), and liaise with external auditors for annual audits.
- Monitor compliance with tax regulations, financial standards, and internal policies.
2. Team Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team at the Jakarta office and coordinate with site-based accountants.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures, SOPs, and internal controls to support operational and financial efficiency.
3. Consolidation & Analysis
- Consolidate financial data from all sites and provide analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor cash flows, cost control, and CAPEX/OPEX tracking across mining sites.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, and financial planning in collaboration with other departments.
- Analyze variances and trends to identify operational and financial risks and opportunities.
5. Audit & Taxation
- Lead the coordination of internal and external audits.
- Ensure accurate tax calculations, filings (PPN, PPh), and compliance with local tax laws and deadlines.
6. Systems & Process Improvement
- Improve and maintain ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other mining-relevant systems).
- Recommend and implement automation and process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or Chartered Accountant certification is highly preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance.
- At least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Experience in the mining, energy, or heavy industry sector is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with multi-site or regional operations and consolidating accounts from remote locations.
