One of our clients, a group of lifestyle cafés, offering a relaxed and inviting space for people to connect over quality food and drinks, is looking for a Finance Manager to oversee and optimise the group’s financial operations.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring the group’s financial health and sustainability. The Finance Manager will lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and tax compliance processes, while also identifying opportunities for cost optimisation and growth. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong background in hospitality finance and an ability to work closely with both the operational and leadership teams.
Requirements:
- Open for local candidates.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CA qualification is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a finance management role, ideally within the F&B, hospitality, or retail sectors.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Experience with tax reporting and compliance in Indonesia.
- Familiarity with café or restaurant operations, including POS integration, procurement, and stock management.
- Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Previous experience with Odoo is a strong advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Fluent in English, fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- A collaborative mindset with a hands-on, practical approach.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports aligned with Indonesian GAAP.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Ensure full compliance with Indonesian financial and tax regulations, and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants when needed.
- Lead the development of annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Conduct regular financial performance reviews, variance analyses, and cost control measures.
- Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to the leadership team to support business strategy and operational decisions.
- Monitor daily transactions and ensure effective oversight of cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and supplier payments.
- Implement and maintain internal controls, financial systems, and standard operating procedures.
- Support procurement and inventory cost tracking in collaboration with the kitchen and supply teams.
- Handle all aspects of tax compliance including VAT (PPN), PPh, and local taxation obligations.
- Coordinate with tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings and identify potential tax-saving opportunities.
- Optimise the use of financial software (Odoo knowledge is a plus).
- Oversee a small accounting team (if applicable), providing mentorship and direction.
- Work closely with operational managers to ensure alignment between financial goals and day-to-day venue operations.
