One of our clients, a group of lifestyle cafés, offering a relaxed and inviting space for people to connect over quality food and drinks, is looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to join their teams.
The ideal candidate will be an integral part of daily operations, directly working alongside staff in both venues, overseeing all aspects of the business, and leading the team to success. Your main focus will be in the two main outlets. You will report directly to the Owners and play a key role in bringing their vision for the business to life.
Requirements:
- Open for local and expat candidates.
- Proven track record in a senior management role within the food & beverage or hospitality industry—experience in a café, bakery, or restaurant environment is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on leader with a people-first mindset, committed to nurturing team performance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
- Deep passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences, combined with the ability to motivate frontline teams toward service excellence.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities—able to build trust with staff, engage guests, and maintain professional relationships with suppliers and partners.
- Skilled in managing budgets, monitoring, producing financial reports, and driving cost-effective decisions to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment—keen eye for detail while overseeing daily operations, staff schedules, inventory, and SOP implementation.
- Fluent in English, additional local language skills are a plus.
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and passionate about the F&B industry. Brings a positive attitude, sound judgement, and high energy to the workplace.
- Willingness to work hands-on and be present on-site regularly—available to support operations across different outlets as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team across multiple locations, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring that all team members uphold high standards for service and quality.
- Lead by example, engaging directly with staff on the floor and in the kitchen to provide guidance and ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure efficient day-to-day operations of both cafés, maintaining high levels of consistency in product quality, customer service, and cleanliness.
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and supply chain processes, ensuring stock levels are maintained and the right products are always available.
- Develop and implement systems and procedures that improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Improve the guests experience by ensuring that every guest receives outstanding service, fostering a welcoming and friendly environment.
- Address guests complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring guests satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to continuously innovate and improve the guest experience.
- Oversee budgets and financial performance, including managing costs, margins, and profits.
- Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Review daily sales reports and ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans to drive growth, enhance brand presence, and expand the business.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and guests preferences, adapting the business to meet changing market demands.
- Work closely with the Owners to fully understand and implement their vision for the brand, ensuring that this vision is reflected in all aspects of the business, from guests experience to team culture and product offerings.
- Report directly to the Owners, providing regular updates on business performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Provide input and recommendations for long-term growth and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
