Key Responsibilities:
- Translation & Localization:
- Translate business documents, contracts, technical manuals, compliance materials, and marketing content between English and Korean with high accuracy.
- Localize product and service content to ensure relevance for the Japanese market.
- Business Support:
- Assist in onboarding high-risk merchants (e.g., crypto, gaming, forex, adult, etc.) by helping bridge language gaps and ensuring clear communication.
- Act as a liaison between clients/partners and internal teams (e.g., compliance, tech, operations).
- Support due diligence, KYC/KYB processes by coordinating with local entities and ensuring documents are properly translated and understood.
- Market & Client Engagement:
- Research and analyze Japan’s high-risk payment ecosystem, regulatory developments, and industry trends.
- Communicate with Korean PSPs, banks, agents, and high-risk merchants to maintain positive relationships and gather operational insights.
- Project Coordination:
- Support cross-functional projects involving Japanese-speaking stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and culturally appropriate responses to inquiries from Korean merchants or partners.
Requirements:
- Fluent in Korean and English (both written and spoken).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in business translation or market operations (preferably in fintech or payments).
- Solid grasp of financial and legal terminology in both languages.
- Comfortable working with sensitive documentation (e.g., KYC/AML/contractual).
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
